I strongly advise against using this method of preventing rugs from slipping.
It worked great for the first few weeks.
It can help stop water and moisture from seeping into joints but it can be a challenge to apply smoothly and achieve a good even finish.
Spray the silicone caulk solvent onto the affected area of the carpet and agitate with gloved fingers.
And it s really flexible so over time it won t break free.
I watched this video and used the exact process on 10 area rugs.
If you cannot catch the caulk in time before it dries you must remove it from the carpet.
Take the rug outside turn it over and spread beads of acrylic latex or clear silicone caulk on the underside.
Use around the perimeter of windows to help seal the window to the header sill jack stud and jamb.
Before the caulk dries flatten the bead with a putty knife to assure good adhesion between the caulk and the rug.
If necessary use a clean cloth with warm water.
